Moses, son of Amram and Jochebed, is born during a difficult period for the Israelites.  Owing to his dream, the Pharaoh orders his soldiers to kill all male Hebron firstborns.  Jochebed is nevertheless able to keep her child hidden for three months before placing him in a basket made of bulrush and sending him down the Nile river. Before doing so, however, she first instructs her daughter Miriam to keep a watchful eye on Moses during his trip.  Later, the daughter of the Pharaoh happens to be bathing in the vicinity of the place where the waters have delivered the basket that, as soon as it is sighted, she orders her handmaiden to retrieve— imagine, then, her surprise upon discovering its cargo!  In the royal court of the Pharaoh, Moses is to receive an education worthy of the Crown Prince, but one day stands up for the mistreatment suffered by a group Israelites, enslaved to construct the great pyramids. From this moment on, Moses’ life takes a turn for the road less travelled.

EL ANTIGUO TESTAMENTO IV, EXODO: 1 x 60 min.

Upon discovering the mystery of his origins and attaining divine enlightenment, Moses attempts to lead his people out of Egypt to free them from slavery. Alongside his brother Aaron, he goes before the Pharaoh, on more than one occasion, to persuade him to free the Israelites.  The Pharaoh, however, stubborn in his ways, denies Moses’ request.  In order to demonstrate the power of the Lord, Moses and Aaron must therefore perform a series of miracles in full public view.   The rod of Aaron transforms into a serpent that devours the serpents created by the Egyptian mages and turns the waters of the Nile into putrid blood.  With this same rod, Aaron then unleashes from the nearby rivers and swamps, great hordes of frogs, extends his rod, smites the dust, and transforms the amphibious creatures into lice; these series of plagues cause the death of Egyptian male first-borns.  Only then does the Pharaoh free the Hebrons, but on the condition that his soldiers hunt them down as they flee the land.  The Israelites are thus followed to the Red Sea, where Moses raises his staff towards the heavens and implores God to “divide the waters”, thereby allowing the Israelites safe passage on dry ground.

POCAHONTAS, PRINCESA DE LOS INDIOS AMERICANOS: 1 x  89 min.

The Princess of the American Indians calls on the Indian tribes to share the message of the Creator as prophesied by Hopi.
